    Appliance Tip of the Week...

    Bosch d/w does not drain

    Reference Models: SHPM98w75N/10

Problem: It's been throwing E23 or E25 leaving some water in the bottom of the tub

    Diagnosis:

E23 Issue with drain pump Indicates there is an issue with the drain pump. This happens when the drain pump is blocked, clogged, or faulty drain pump, drain hose fault.

E25 Drain pump blocked, drain issue, filter clogged or pump impeller is jammed. Indicates the drain pump is blocked or the drain pump cover is loose or missing. Clogged drain pump, clogged drain hose, drain pump cover fault.

If you access the control module after turning the appliance power supply off, there are three gray wires at connection 5 that can be used to test the drain pump. Testing each gray wire to the others, there should be a resistance of 130 Ohms each time if the drain pump is good and the control module would be the most likely cause of failure. If one of the wire tests shows a lower or higher resistance of more than 5 Ohms, the drain pump would be the issue.
