  • GE Café: Problem with Door Height

    GE Café
    CDT805P2N2S1

    Define first-world problem here...

Our new GE Café dishwasher has one very annoying problem: The bottom rack gets hung up on the door and derails when we pull it out because the door is raised just enough to impede the wheels.

The owner's manual doesn't list this problem as an issue; nor is there any mention of "door adjustment". It's also not obvious to us if it's possible to adjust the height of the door.

Soliciting suggestions from those who are familiar with this problem.

    Hi,

Sorry, but I have not run into this before.
I will search to see if I can find something.

    Now we can't afford it!

I have not found much (nothing) on this type of an problem.

Does the door open up past 90º to the front of the d/w? If the door opens up past 90º the door hinges could be bent, door cabinet frame could be bent or the door itself could be bent.
Have also seen where the front adjustable legs are miss-matched. One leg screwed out farther than the other leg and this twists the cabinet causing door issues.

      Sorry couldn't help more!
