    If it is one of those cases where you can fuse higher than ampacity (welders, motors, HVAC), then yes. Otherwise, you're stuck at the 30A ampacity rating if you're under the 2008 or later code.

      For some reason, I thought I put the year (2005) down….HUM!!
      And no it has nothing to do with welders etc. It’s a typical branch circuit serving a cooking appliance.
